What after install ubuntu 9.04

Adding Arabic loyout :

System -> Perference -> Keyboard -> Layout -> Add
Country : Saudi Arabia
Variants : Arabic

Layout switching shortcut :

System -> Preference -> Keyboard -> Layout ->Layout Options -> key(s) to change layout
then uncheck all and check “Alt+Shift” only

Adding layout panel :

click right on panel then Add to panel -> Keyboard Indicator -> Add

Changing mouse speed :

System -> Preference -> Mouse -> General -> Pointer speed

Disable visual effects :

System -> Preference -> Appearance -> Visual Effects -> None

Installing software :

Applications -> Add/Remove
show : All Available applications
Search : type name or description of software

Adding the Medibuntu Repository :

Applications -> Add/Remove
show : All Available applications
Search : ubuntu-restricted-extras

Install Microsoft core fonts :

Applications -> Add/Remove
show : All Available applications
Search : msttcorefonts
then logout and login again

Pidgin’s fonts :

Tools -> Preferences -> Conversations -> Font
Conversation Font : Arial Bold | 12

Enable Ctrl+Alt+Backspace
sudo apt-get install dontzap
sudo dontzap --disable
